A minor in Creative Writing provides students with a foundation in the craft of writing across genres, including fiction, poetry, screenwriting, and nonfiction. Designed to complement any major, the minor helps students develop skills in storytelling, critical thinking, revision, and expressive communication. This minor is ideal for students with a passion for creative writing as well as those seeking to strengthen their writing skills in support of broader academic and professional goals.

Schedule of Classes
Specific offerings for each semester may be found in the Schedule of Classes. Requirements for the liberal arts minor in creative writing
The liberal arts minor in creative writing requires a total of 16 credits in English and creative writing. A minimum of 6 credits of the minor must be at the 3000 level or above. 1. Choose one of the following

Any course with the CW prefix fulfills this requirement. 3. Choose one ENG course at the 2000 level or higher
The following ENG classes do not fulfill this requirement: ENG 2110 , ENG 3110 , ENG 3680 . Additional information
Only courses in which the student has earned a grade of C may be counted toward the creative writing minor. Only one 1000-level course will be accepted for credit in the minor. Applicable Majors
