Requirements for the liberal arts minor in advertising

To successfully complete the minor in advertising, students must complete a minimum of 20 credits including:

1. Required core courses

• PR 2400 - Introduction to Advertising (4)
• PR 3410 - Advertising Agency Workshop (4)

2. Elective courses (choose three)

Three elective courses from the following options (at least one course must be 3000- level or above):

• COM 3200 - Persuasion (4)
• COM 4950 - Internship (4)
• JMS 4025 Media Ethics and Law (4)
• JMS 4200 - Media Design (4)
• PR 2500 - Introduction to Public Relations (4)
• PR 2510 - Public Relations and Advertising Writing (4)
• PR 3420 - Advertising Creative Strategy (4)
• PR 3440 - Advertising Copywriting (4)
• PR 3700 - Research Methods in Public Relations and Advertising (4)
• PR 4900 - Special Topics in Public Relations and Advertising (4)

Applicable Majors
