The Urban and Regional Studies Minor provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary understanding of modern urban civilization and develops an appreciation of some of the problems and policy issues confronting contemporary American urban communities. It equips students to pursue careers in a variety of urban-oriented public and private sector or administrative organizations. The minor includes one foundational Urban and Community Sociology course drawn from the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Criminal Justice and Social Work as well as an array of electives relevant to the field of urban studies. To earn the Urban and Regional Studies Minor, students must complete a minimum of 16 credits, distributed as follows: Elective courses (choose 3)
