|
The Combined Spanish Language and Literature, B.A./Local Government Management Graduate Certificate option is designed for high achieving undergraduate students pursuing a Spanish Language and Literature, B.A. and a Graduate Certificate in Local Government Management.
Students admitted to this combined program can take 6 credits of graduate-level courses while still an undergraduate and pay undergraduate tuition rates. Within the B.A. requirements, these 6 credits would replace any two courses that fulfill the Spanish Language and Literature B.A. However, one of the following courses is still required: SPN 4200, SPN 4880, or SPN 4890. For students pursuing this B.A./certificate program, students do not need to compensate for the 2-credit difference in the major.
To be eligible for the combined BA to Graduate Certificate option, students must
- Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and;
- Completed at least 3 upper-level classes of the undergraduate program major courses;
- Apply for and receive delayed admission to the Graduate Certificate;
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average at completion of the Spanish Language and Literature, B.A. and gain formal admission into the Graduate Certificate program.
Note: Students must receive formal delayed admission into the Graduate Certificate program to be eligible to register for graduate courses in the Graduate Certificate program.
