PHY 522 - Statistical Thermodynamics

(4 credits)

Review of classical thermodynamics. Kinetic theory of gases, transport phenomena, classical and quantum statistics, partition functions and thermodynamic properties, ensembles and fluctuations.

Recommended prerequisite(s): PHY 552
