ME 5750 - Optical Measurement and Quality Inspection (4 credits)
Topics include state-of the-art optical methods such as laser triangulation, 3D-computer vision, digital image correlation, TV-holography/Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI), digital shearography, ultrasonic technique, and so on, with applications to measurements of 3D shape, 3D-displacements, 3D-strains, and material properties, as well as to nondestructive testing (NDT).
