Public Act 32

Effective July 1, 2009 satisfactory completion of a course of study with appropriate field experiences in the diagnosis and remediation of reading disabilities and differentiated instruction is required for all teachers applying for their professional certificate. Students can meet this requirement by taking RDG 510, Inquiry-Based Literacy Instruction, at Oakland University.

The PA 32 requirement may also be met by successful completion of the MAT in Reading and Language Arts .
