AN 387 - Archaeology, Ideology and Sacred Sites in the Ancient Near East (4) Archaeology of sacred sites in the wider Near East beginning in the Neolithic period. Anthropological models concerning the archaeology of religion as a discipline are explored. Case studies include sacred sites relevant to Judaism, Christianity and Islam with an emphasis on the history of Jerusalem.
