HST 3295 - Religion, Politics and American Culture (4) Provides an historical analysis of the intersection of religion and American politics. Examines the connections between faith and political activism. Focusing on the period since the Civil War, it will emphasize controversies over the separation of church and state, religiously oriented social reform, and the rise of the religious right. Prerequisite(s): WRT 1060 or equivalent with a grade of (C) or higher.
