EL 6682 - Critical Historical Perspectives in Higher Education (4 credits)
This is a broad survey course which will acquaint students with the significant events and themes of both mainstream higher education and those issues of importance to people and institutions historically considered on the periphery. The aim of the course is to provide students who plan careers as administrators in higher education with a basic foundation in order to understand the origin and evolution of critical issues in higher education that are still important today with a particular emphasis on the history of the causes and consequences social justice issues.
