ME 5761 - Sheet Metal Forming Processes

(4 credits)

Sheet metal formability, shearing, bending, flanging, hemming, drawing, hydroforming, hot forming,stamping dies and presses. Emphasis is made on analytical models and understanding the results of numerical simulation of stamping using commercial software, sheet metal fracture, wrinkling, springback, recent development of stamping of lightweight materials.Winter
