STA 5002 - Applied Linear Models I

(4 credits)



Review of basic results from probability and statistics, linear regression, model testing and transformations, matrix methods in multiple regression, polynomial regression, indicator variables, basics of experimental design, one-way ANOVA with fixed and random effects, multiple comparisons, and randomized blocks. Required background: a first course in statistics. Prerequisite: STA 5001. STA 5002 is cross-listed with an undergraduate course, STA 4002. Student may not receive credit for both courses.
