CSI 5500 - Operating Systems I

This course focuses on distributed operating systems. Topics covered include communication protocols for message passing and remote procedure calls, synchronization of distributed systems; processes and processors; distributed file systems; distributed shared memory; Grid computing, and security issues. Formerly CSE 552. Cross-listed with CSI 4500.

Prerequisite(s): CSI 4500 or equivalent.
