BIO 5224 - Science of Vision

(4 credits)

Ocular development, visual transduction, retinal circuitry, brain pathways, color vision, physiological optics, eye diseases and treatments, ophthalmic imaging, gene therapy, human genomics. Authentic assessment will be employed to develop scientific skills: communication, evaluation of research papers, and exploring visual impairment in different societies.
