BE 5000 - Principles of Bioengineering (4 credits)
Basic principles of human physiology presented from the engineering perspective. Systems covered include the cardiovascular, neuromuscular, respiratory, renal and endocrine systems at the organ, tissue and cellular levels. Bodily functions, their regulation and control discussed in quantitative terms and illustrated by mathematical models where feasible.
