As a department within the School of Education and Human Services, the instructional staff of the Reading and Language Arts Department offers courses in reading, language arts, digital literacies and learning and children’s literature at the undergraduate level for students pursuing a career in teaching. The department offers a master’s degree program in reading and language arts, certificate programs in digital literacies and learning, post-master’s certificate programs, K-12 reading specialist endorsements, and a doctor of philosophy degree in reading education.
