General information
The School of Health Sciences offers graduate degrees and graduate certificate programs in health and medically related fields. Doctorate-level degrees include an entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Human Movement Science. Master of Science degrees include clinical and diagnostic sciences, exercise science, public health, and safety management. Graduate certificate programs include clinical exercise science, corporate and worksite wellness, exercise science, and for physical therapists who have acquired clinical experience following their entry-level professional preparation; certificates include orthopedic manual physical therapy, orthopedics, teaching and learning for rehabilitation professionals, and oncology rehabilitation. Public and environmental wellness graduate certificate programs include environmental health and safety management, epidemiological research, global and population health services, health equity, and human factors. Additionally, a number of graduate-level courses are offered through the school’s program in environmental health and safety for students who wish to enroll on a non-degree basis or who may be able to apply these courses as electives to a graduate degree in a related field.
Admission to any program offered by the School of Health Sciences may be considered on a competitive basis, if the balance between applicants and available instructional resources requires such action to maintain the academic integrity of the program.
