ECN 409 - Urban and Regional Economics(3) Explores the application of microeconomic theory and empirical analysis to: residential choice and location of economic activities; migration patterns within and across states and metropolitan areas: major urban problems such as quality of life, transportation and optimum city size; urban sprawl; and Michigan’s economy. Generally offered fall semester of odd years. Satisfies the university general education requirement for the capstone experience. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in the major. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement. Prerequisite(s): (QMM 241 or QMM 250) and ECN 303 with a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course.
