EED 310 - Public Education for the Future(3) Exposes prospective elementary education majors to an overview of practical issues, theoretical foundations and professional standards. This course assists students in determining whether they possess the desire and prerequisite skills needed for pursuing teaching as a career, including interpersonal, and intrapersonal communication skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening. Includes a required field experience. Satisfies the university general education requirement for a writing intensive course in the major. Prerequisite for writing intensive: completion of the university writing foundation requirement. May only be retaken once. Prerequisite(s): GPA 2.80 or better and WRT 160 (3.0 or “B” minimum).
