Attendees will learn to conduct a comprehensive medical forensic evaluation on adult and adolescent patients who are victims of sexual assault. Participants will be educated on the dynamics of sexual assault and receive training in the patient history, assessment, treatment, evidence collection, documentation, and legal testimony in cases of sexual assault. Participants will learn to meet the needs of patients, families, communities, and systems as part of a multidisciplinary team while assuring that patients receive competent nursing care.
