SYS 6452 - Optimal and Predictive Control

Modern control theory applied to linear dynamical systems. Differential and difference equations; stability of optimal control systems; dynamic programming; linear quadratic regulator; model predictive control; quadratic programming; nonlinear model predictive control and sequential quadratic programming; application of theory to practical control system design methodology; project designing model predictive control system. Prerequisites: SYS 5404 or ECE 5404.
