RDG 7204 - Perspectives in Literature in Literacy, Culture, and Language

(4 credits)

Explore the development of literature, literacy, culture, and language for children/young adults; adaptation of adult literature to children; trends in content and in illustration; and an examination of classic children’s books. Examine research and critical essays on literary theory, and teaching/use of literature in classrooms.

Prerequisite(s): Student must be admitted to Ph.D. program or have permission from the instructor.
