COM 5950 - Internship (4 credits)
This course consists of a supervised work training experience that takes place in an office or remote setting over the course of 150 hours and 12 weeks. Students secure an internship that allows them to apply communication specific knowledge and skills, typically in the areas of public relations, social media marketing, radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, promotions and event planning, non-profit management, advertising, and community, corporate, and governmental affairs. The internship is designed to provide a solid foundation of professional skills and knowledge for which students can receive college credit. Cross-listed with COM 4950
