CSE 581 - Information Retrieval and Knowledge Discovery

(4) Credits
This course covers the models for information retrieval from text and multimedia databases. Methodologies for database indexing and visualization are discussed. Statistical and deterministic algorithms for discovering knowledge from databases, including, decision trees, clustering, regression, and neural models are covered. Students must meet prerequisite (CSE 545) or equivalent.
