COM 401 - Persuasion and Social Change(4) Credits Examination of the communicative processes by which movements for social change influence institutions and actors. Emphasis on persuasive strategies for mobilization, maintenance and social transformation including: narrative and argument, symbolism and music, and the role of leadership. Analysis of case studies and consideration of contemporary efforts at social change. Prerequisite(s): COM 301.
