Requirements for the major in engineering chemistry, B.S. program
The program in engineering chemistry, offered jointly by the School of Engineering and Computer Science and the College of Arts and Sciences, leads to the Bachelor of Science degree. It provides for intensive study in chemistry, along with basic preparation in engineering. To earn the degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in engineering chemistry, students must complete a minimum of 128 credits, satisfy writing requirement (also see Undergraduate degree requirements) and meet the following requirements: General education – 24 credits
Mathematics and physics – 24 credits
Chemistry – 37-40 credits
Engineering core – 25 credits
Capstone Course – 3 credits
Free electives – 4 (7) credits
(may be used for writing requirement) Performance requirements
In addition to the previously stated requirements, satisfactory completion of the program requires an average grade of at least 2.00 in the courses taken to satisfy the engineering, chemistry, and mathematics and physics requirements. |
