Requirements for the liberal arts minor in international relations
The liberal arts minor in international relations requires 22-26 credits, plus one year of a single modern foreign language as a corequisite. This includes 12-14 credits of required core courses and 10-12 credits of elective courses. The electives must be taken in at least two different disciplines, one of which must be political science [students may take one political science course (4 credits) and two non-political science courses (6-8 credits) or two political science courses (8 credits) and one non-political science course (3-4 credits) to reach the 10-12 credit total]. Credit toward the minor will be allowed only for courses completed with a grade of 2.0 or higher. Core courses – 12-14 credits
Electives in political science – 4 credit minimum, 8 credit maximum
Electives in economics, history or philosophy – 3-4 credit minimum; 6-8 credit maximum
Corequisite
Students must complete one year of a single modern foreign language or demonstrate equivalent competency at the first year level in a single modern foreign language. |
